MARY JANE CERAMICS SUMMER CLASSES - Orcas

Children's Art & Ceramics Classes-Summer Session (Wednesdays, July 15 – August 19, 11 am – 12:30 pm & 1:30 pm – 3:00 pm). We will have classes in the basics of drawing and painting as well as ceramics. All materials and firing costs are included. Exploring new art possibilities will be our goal. CEMENT SCULPTURE WORKSHOP – AUGUST 1st and 2nd

The Olga Strawberry Council is sponsoring an excitingly different kind of art we’ve all seen but never thought we’d have the opportunity to do – Cement Sculpture – at a 2 day workshop from 10am to 2pm August 1st and 2nd under a big top in the upper parking area of Orcas Center. Make anything from fountains to frogs, flowers to fidos. It promises to deliver a wonderful weekend of learning, playing and being creative! Cost: Only $145 plus $50 materials fee. PHOTOGRAPHY RETREAT WITH DENNIS DEHART
Work with accomplished teacher and photographer Dennis DeHart on this retreat on Orcas Island. This is a retreat for photographers who are looking for a fresh perspective on the Pacific Northwest landscape, or for visiting photographers who are keen to experience the San Juan Islands through a local artist and digital printmaking expert. July 11/12 and July 18/19 9-5pm. Various locations.
