August 13-16, San Juan Island
Fine arts catagories include, Oil, acrylic, and Watercolor painting, Pastel, Charcoal, Pencil and Ink Drawing, plus Other category. Printingmaking, woodcut, intaglio, Lithiography, Other, Sculpture, Metal, Stone, Wood, Glass, Ceramic, Papier Mache, Other, Mixed Media, Collage, Mosaic, Assemblage, Book Art, Other, and Video, Documentary, Narrative, Abstract, Animation.

Intake Day is Tuesday, August 12, 9am to 6pm.
Exhibits August 13, 14, 15, 16
All Art must be removed Sunday, August 17 9am to Noon Only

The gallery’s August show will feature the mixed media paintings of Michael Dickter and the sculptures of David Eisenhour. Michael’s’ paintings area synthesis of layers, creating a rich textural surface on which he integrates fragments of identifiable forms. David’s bronze and unique sculptures beautifully reperent the simplicity and the complexity of the natural world: a bio-narrative story.

"The Summer Arts Fair" features local and regional artists selling their works in a juried show. Music, children's hands on art activities, art demonstrations, a Farmers' Market and a pancake breakfast and food court add to the weekend. About 25 Lummi Indian artists will be demonstrating and selling their work nearby.

A self-guided tour of 12 working studios with over 31 participants. This is a unique opportunity to observe a variety of artists on their home turf. All studios are located on beautiful San Juan Island within several miles of the town of Friday Harbor. To attend, take the Washington State ferry from Anacortes to Friday Harbor. After arriving in Friday Harbor, stop at Island Studios for your free studio tour map. Island Studios is located just 2 blocks up from the ferry at 270 Spring Street.
