Joan Stuart Ross & Kathryn Trigg:

Mixed media paintings and Canvas and paper
Joan Stuart Ross creates abstract paintings that are composed of layers of colorful oil on canvas segments, collaged onto oil on canvas surfaces. In 1987, Joan was the first recipient of the Seattle Art Museum’s Betty Bowen Award.
Kathryn Trigg works in layered monotypes, creating soft edged painting that can be vibrant in color. Both, Joan & Kathryn create textured paintings that are playful and visually tactile.
Both of these woman artists continue working in their mediums, growing and changing, evolving their skills and content. Both, Joan and Kappy, seek to expand their repertoire of ideas with evolving surface, content and color.
